Appointments needed for Skokie H1N1 flu shots

The village of Skokie is offering free H1N1 vaccine to everyone in a high risk category in Illinois.While other places still face shortages, Skokie received a windfall of doses this week.

The village received a shipment of 20,000 doses of inject able vaccine because it was one of the first locations to place its order with the state health department.

The clinic will be open at the Oakton Community Center on Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. No walk-ins are allowed. Appointments can be made at Skokie.org.
