Chicago police are investigating a pair of shootings involving officers. In one incident on the Northwest Side, an unidentified man in his 30s was shot and killed. That shooting happened on West Henderson near Linder. Police say they were called to an argument between a landlord and a tenant. When they arrived, the man, believed to be the tenant, allegedly pointed a weapon at the officers, prompting the shooting.

The other shooting took place Tuesday morning on the city's West Side between Ayers and Springfield near Chicago Avenue. Officers say they were flagged down by a group of people saying someone shot at them from a green van.

Police say they found that van, but the person inside got out and ran. During the pursuit, investigators say the suspect turned and pointed a gun at an officer, who then opened fire.

The suspect was hospitalized Tuesday.
