March 31, 2010 (CHICAGO) --Wednesday is the deadline for Chicago homeowners to apply for the Chicago property tax relief program. It provides grants up to $200 for homeowners hit hardest by increases in their property tax bills.
To fill out the application, homeowners need an ID card and copy of their 2008 property tax second installment. Find the application at cityofchicago.org
The program was funded by $35 million from the city's parking-meter fund.
