The judge ordered Cook County sheriffs to pick up Siovaughn Wade on a $10,000 cash bond after she failed to come to court on her own. The judge also expressed concern that the already contentious divorce was beginning to spiral out of control.
Wade's attorney contends his client's wife is trying to keep the Miami Heat guard from his kids.
"I've seen the personal and emotional side of him with respect to his children, how he cares for his children. It's been extremely upsetting to him," said Jim Pritikin, Wade's Attorney.
The children are 2 and 8 years old. Wade says he plans to spend his summer in Chicago to be with them.
