A cappella groups are hot right now on college campuses all over the country and one of the hottest is Purple Haze at Northwestern University.

The a cappella tradition goes back a long way at Northwestern and Purple Haze is one of the mainstays. The students are about to release their newest CD "Feed the Sound" and one of the PH singers, John Park got national exposure on this season's American Idol.

Formed in 1996, Purple Haze is a group of 17 talented musicians who perform with only their voices. They present three shows a year, tours both nationally and internationally, and has released six studio albums.
