WHAT: The State of Illinois is implementing the third phase of its instant rebate program to help residents replace older, inefficient appliances with ENERGY STAR qualified models. This phase of the program includes 15 percent off eligible Energy Star appliances. The program will re-open for one day on September 24, 2010 starting at 8:00 a.m. and run so long as funds remain.
As an additional incentive, The Home Depot will offer an additional 15 percent off all Energy Star appliances from Sept. 23-29 at all Illinois Home Depot stores. On Friday, Sept. 24, customers of The Home Depot will receive a total of 30 percent off eligible Energy Star appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dishwashers. The Home Depot also will offer a 12-month no payments, no interest credit offer and free delivery/haul away. There will be special buy appliances available for additional savings.
WHEN: Sept. 24 - Illinois Appliance Rebate Program re-opens for one day only. Customers receive 30 percent savings on eligible Energy Star appliances and 15 percent off other Energy Star appliances. Sept. 23-29 - 15 percent savings on all Energy Star appliances.
