October 10, 2010 (CHICAGO) --A Chicago Fire Department battalion chief rushing to a call was injured in an accident over the weekend.It happened Saturday just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Fullerton and Pulaski. Investigators say the battalion chief was driving a fire department SUV when another vehicle crashed into him.
Doctors treated him at Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was last listed in fair condition. His name is not being made public.
Two other people were also hurt, but their injuries were not considered serious.
