Lance's Comic Book Weekend

November 30, 2010

The comic book collection will begin end of October and end on December 11, 2010. The comic books collected will be distributed to members of the USO and Chicago Housing Authority to brighten the holiday seasons to those dealing with hardship home and overseas.

The comic book drive will culminate on December 11, when Lance will host Lance's Comic Book Day, a fair that allows fans of all ages to interact with comic book writers, artists and sponsors in the midst of a fun-filled atmosphere featuring games, contests and more at Chicago's Comic Vault.

"Comic books are a big part of a lot of people's childhoods," said Lance, "Comics are often the first thing that a kid will read voluntarily. I want more people and children to experience this incredible pass time. I also hope that for those who will receive the donated comic books that it will bring a smile to their face."

Later, on Monday, December 13th, Lance will be holding a cocktail Holiday event at 42 N Latitude Kitchen and Cocktails. Guests have a chance to have drinks and enjoy a friendly, casual atmosphere with Lance, while celebrating the holiday season and giving back. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the youth in the form of football camps and other similar projects.
