Twenty-one-year old Olubusayo Awomolo of Dolton was working on his master's degree in mechanical engineering at UIC. He was fatally shot Monday night as he returned home from school.
His older brother found him in the driveway.
His sister called Awomolo an amazing person. His father questions why anyone would kill him.
"This is a guy who could not even hurt a fly. All he did in his life was just to go to school, go to school, go to school," said Olawale Awomolo, father.
Awomolo grew up in Nigeria before joining his family in Dolton.
Police do not have anyone in custody.
