December 24, 2010 4:36:00 AM PST
Wonderland Express returns for its fifth holiday season, bringing captivating scenes of Chicago's favorite landmarks; a garden display of over 5000 plants, 750,000 twinkling LED lights, two gingerbread villages, 20-foot tall decorated trees and greenhouses that feel and look like tropical paradise.

Eleven garden-scale trains travel past more than 80 miniature versions of Chicago's favorite landmarks -- all intricately handcrafted with natural materials, such as twigs, bark, leaves, acorns and pebbles-- at the Chicago Botanic Garden. A new addition to the 2010 exhibit -- the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup.

The exhibition runs through January 2, 2011 from 10am to 6pm daily. It will close at 3pm on December 24th and all day on December 25th. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for children (ages 3-12) and seniors (62+). Garden members save $2 per ticket.

The Chicago Botanic Garden is located 1000 Lake Cook Road in Glencoe, Illinois 60022. For more information on the exhibit or tickets, log onto www.chicago-botanic.org/wonderland or call 847-835-5440.
