Patrice Robinson, 20, was killed, and the man driving the car Thursday night was critically injured.

The accident happened on the South Side at the intersection of West 97th Street and South Eggleston Avenue. The gates were down at the time.

No one on the New York-bound Amtrak train was hurt. Amtrak spokeswoman Christina Leeds says the train had left Union Station a short time before the accident and was carrying 245 passengers.
