Wayne Smith works as a barber on the city's Far South Side. The Cook County state's attorney says he raped a woman just hours after they met for the first time. The two allegedly arranged a date on the facebook.com. The alleged attack took place at smith's apartment which he shares with his mother. Prosecutors say Smith's mother was home at the time.
The 24-year-old woman told police Smith choked and slapped her, told her he had a gun and sexually assaulted her. She was able to leave the apartment and called police.
