While some make-up may have looked great in winter, it will just not make the spring cut. Lucky Magazine Style Contributor Lori Bergamotto tells how to keep the make-up in our makeup bag looking fresh on and off our faces and what to stock up on for the season.

First things first, let's talk about skin. The good news is you can keep using your daily moisturizer as the weather gets warmer, as long as it's not super heavy and it won't leave you greasy. If it is, use it as a night cream instead and opt for a lighter formula. Whatever you use though, you should always remember to apply sunscreen like Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50 +, $34.00, kiehls.com A fantastic option to add to your moisturizer or, really, take the place of it. This is a broad spectrum, UVA/UVB formula and has an SPF of 55 (most dermatologists recommend 30) so this one is an over-achiever. Plus, it melts right into your skin and provides a lightweight hydration.
Skip the heavy foundations and opt for something more breathable like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact Foundation SPF 55 w/ Helioplex in "Soft Beige", $13.99, neutrogena.com. It goes on really natural and helps you achieve an even complexion, not to mention it has SPF!
If there is one makeup trend you follow this spring, let it be coral. Women used to worry that they couldn't pull it off, but the new corals have way more pink in them than they used to, making them really wearable, like this one from Maybelline. Maybelline New York Fit Me! BLUSH in "Medium Coral", $5.51, maybelline.com
Spring 2011 eye makeup focuses on color and lots of it for the eyes. We've seen strong blue and green movements on the runway, but they can be tough to pull off in real life. These L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional The One Sweep Eye Shadow in "Playful for Green Eyes", $9.95, lorealparis.com de-mystify the process and allow you to dabble in that colorful trend, but help you interpret it for real life by balancing the strong shade with flattering neutrals.
This is a Lucky favorite. When the weather gets warmer, mascara can wilt, flake, or smudge way quicker, especially on your lower lashes. This formula from Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara in "Black", $10.00, clinique.com is an essential because it resists heat and humidity. Plus, because it comes in this teeny wand, it's a cinch to get at the bottom lashes.
For lips, we've chosen two of our favorite new items. The Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in "Boy", $32.00, chanel.com, is for those women who swear by lipstick. This version gives you the staying power of a lipstick but the breathability and airiness of a gloss. We're all obsessed with this color Boy because we have yet to find a person who doesn't look totally glamorous in it after just one application.

Sunscreen is an absolute must. And, speaking of sunscreen, there's always that great debate about Vitamin D and how much you should be getting, which is why we love Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pads, $32.00 for 20, dgskincare.com. These not only deliver alpha-hydroxy acids--which are brilliant for exfoliating dry, dull skin, they also provide an active source of Vitamin D and a very subtle self-tan. A lot of women use powder in the winter months to set their makeup, but for spring we like to use these Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, $5.49, cleanandclear.com They keep grease at bay. Skin is shine-free, but still looks fresh because you're not adding anything to your face, but you're taking away the oil.
