American Flight 48 took off from Dallas, Texas, Wednesday night and was heading to Paris, France.
Witnesses describe the male passenger as being unruly and intoxicated. Air Marshals on board the plane subdued the man and the plane landed safely at O'Hare.
The FBI says the disruptive passenger was taken off the plane and questioned at O'Hare. He was later released without being charged.
