Report complicates vitamin D, skin cancer relationship

A study in the Archives of Dermatology shows an association between higher Vitamin D levels and an increased risk of non-melanoma skin cancers. However, the study doesn't suggest Vitamin D is actually the cause of these cancers.

Because ultraviolet radiation exposure is necessary for Vitamin D production in the body, the study may only indicate people with more sun exposure tend to develop non-melanoma skin cancers more than others.
