Nissan recalls Juke, Sentra

December 14, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Government safety officials say a defective weld could cause the Juke to stall while idling. The automaker says a sensor bracket can break, causing the problem.

The recall for the 2011 models is expected to begin at the start of January.

Separately, Nissan is also recalling some 2010 and 2011 Sentras equipped with MR-20 engines for a potential battery problem that can also cause them to stall.

Nissan says no crashes or injuries have happened because of either problem.
