Festive Spreads and Homemade Holiday Gifts

Christmas is just a few days away. Visiting ABC7 with everything you need to set the scene, was celebrity party planner Debi Lilly, owner of A Perfect Event.

She's sharing her favorite affordable, last minute, do it yourself homemade holiday gifts, tips and tricks for your final holiday preparations this week.

Holidays mean family - and everything listed is a fun, fast, festive way to spend time together around the table, making happy, handmade gifts and decor.

Step 1 - Set the Scene
Dress the table, the mantle, the holiday buffet with candy and cookie topiary.
You only need 3 ingredients: cone shaped styrafoam, candy or cookies, and glue or icing. This is a big wow factor for the table, make great gifts - and best of all is easy to use again year after year.

Step 2 - Layer in loads of candles
Take glass vases filled with candles and rock salt for "snow", and using your computer print your monogram, or vintage silhouettes, or holiday songs...
Wrap paper around vases, and voila - instant personalized decor - also perfect for gift giving.

Step 3 - Homemade Gifts from the heart
My favorites this year
1. S'mores Kits - simply stack clear boxes, sold at A Perfect Event, with grahams, infused mallows and spiced chocolate for an instant foodie s'more
2. Whoopie Pie Flights - you don't need to bake from scratch - can buy beautiful cookies, fill with icing, roll in colorful sprinkles, and voila - handmade gift that tastes as good as it looks
3. Cookie Kits - fun for the whole family - everything you need inside - all boxes and jars for sale at A Perfect Event
4. Infused Honey and Sugar collections - rosemary, vanilla, cinnamon...all create lovely homemade gourmet treats for hostess or stocking gifts

Cheers to your happy homey holidays!
