Police were called at 12:40 a.m. Sunday to an apartment building in the 2300-block of Beech Street for a "strong odor" of marijuana coming from inside the common area of the complex.
Police tracked the scent of the marijuana to a particular apartment, and although police say they knocked and could see and hear people inside, no one would answer the door.
After obtaining a search warrant, police searched the apartment at 2 a.m. and arrested Zachary Norwood, 28, and Joshua Norwood, 24, who both lived in the apartment. They were each arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were held at the Porter County Jail.
