The officer was hurt by an alleged wrong way driver over the weekend.
Police say Arsenio Garcia, 24, was wearing only underwear and socks while driving the wrong way down the 4200-block of West Cornelia, a one way street.
Garcia is accused of crashing into a Chicago police officer's SUV. His charges include DUI and driving without a license and no insurance.
Garcia and the officer were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
