Chicago teacher celebrates 100th birthday

March 11, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Olivia Neubauer turned 100 and has no plans to stop teaching at the school anytime soon. Neubauer began her teaching career in 1935.

"It's just been a blessing to all of us to have Mrs. Neubauer turn 100 and still be teaching the kids and still be sharing her spirit here every day," said Pastor Elizabeth Hiller.

Following the birthday celebration, there was a fundraising luncheon. Money raised from it will go toward a scholarship in Neubauer's name.
