On Saturday, the city will dye the Chicago River green. At noon, the parade steps off at Balbo and Columbus. ABC7 will have a float, so look for that.!
After the parade, the Irish American Heritage Center (link: www.irish-american.org ) hosts the St. Patrick's Festival on Saturday and an after-party on Sunday, March 18. There will be music, food and dancing. Among the featured performers are the students from the O'Hare School of Irish Dance. Michael Belvitch, T.C.R.G. (Certified Irish Dance Teacher), one of the teachers for the O'Hare School of Irish Dance, came into our ABC7 studio with several of his students, and dancers treated us to a performance.
