Latino Book and Family Festival

April 1, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The free event promotes literacy, culture and education. The festival will feature dozens of authors, educational workshops, book signings, poetry readings, a chess tournament, children's events, live entertainment, food and exhibitor booths.

More than 20 authors, TV and movie celebrities will read to children. Edward James Olmos, actor and community activist, will present the festival. Zeke Montes, host of the festival, and Elaine King, author of "La Familia y el dinero" (Family and Money), joined us live during our ABC7 News Sunday to talk about the event.
