It happened around 3:30 Thursday morning at State and Ohio.
A man told police he drove his Infiniti into a taxi cab as he was trying to get away from the driver of a BMW who purposely rammed into him and shot at him. The man claims they got into a fight earlier at a nightclub.
The Infiniti crashed into a taxi, sending the cab into a window washer's van and scaffolding. The worker fell and is hospitalized in serious condition.
Police are searching for the driver of that BMW who supposedly started the chain reaction.
