A semi-trailer crash is being blamed for a power outage in Rolling Meadows.

Police, fire and ComEd crews are on the scene.

A viewer tells ABC7 the semi-trailer crashed into several electricity and telephone poles near Kirchoff and Hicks roads.

ComEd says it has restored power to more than half the people affected and that fewer than 500 remained without power around 10 p.m. Thursday evening.
