Violent TV might keep children awake at night

A new study finds watching violent or age inappropriate images on TV, in movies, or on computers can "significantly" disrupt a child's sleep.

Scientists say surprisingly violent media might even include popular kids shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants.

They say making a relatively simple change such as Sesame Street or Dora the Explorer is a change worth the effort.

Scientists say it's best to avoid exposure an hour before bedtime but if your children are watching something make sure it's age appropriate.
