CDC recommends early flu shots

September 3, 2012

Although flu season traditionally lasts from October to May, this year the vaccines are already out.

And many people are asking if getting their flu shot early will protect them for the whole season.

According to the Centers for Disease Control the answer is yes.

The vaccine will give you full coverage for the entire flu season.

In fact, the CDC recommends that people get their shots as soon as possible because the flu virus can't read a calendar and there is always the possibility of an early outbreak.
