Study: Lots of coffee could cut risk of some cancers

December 13, 2012

New research shows those who drink more than four cups a day may cut their risk of dying from cancers of the mouth and throat by nearly half.

The study done by the American Cancer Society looked at the coffee drinking habits of nearly 1 million men and women.

Researchers say those who reported heavy consumption had about half the risk of dying from mouth or throat cancers compared to people who did not drink caffeinated coffee daily or only drank it occasionally.
