Many teens don't get necessary vaccinations

March 18, 2013

On a national survey, some parents noted these shots were not recommended or not necessary. In other cases, parents noted their children were not the appropriate age to receive the vaccine.

Other parents questioned the safety of the vaccines.

The study's authors conclude that more doctors need to stress the benefits of these particular vaccines.

The study can be found in this week's Journal of Pediatrics.
