GOP's Brady, Dillard close to joining Illinois governor race

June 5, 2013

State Senator Bill Brady plans to officially become a candidate later this month. He's a Bloomington businessman and 20-year lawmaker. Governor Pat Quinn beat Brady in 2010.

Illinois State Senator Kirk Dillard says he intends to join the race for the GOP nomination for governor within the next few weeks. The Hinsdale resident tried to become the Republican candidate in 2010 and lost by less than 200 votes.

Republican State Treasurer Dan Rutherford announced his candidacy last weekend.
