Blackhawks fans can begin buying single-game tickets to watch the team play next season.

The Stanley Cup champions say sales for home games at the United Center went on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

Fans can purchase tickets on ChicagoBlackhawks.com, by visiting any Ticketmaster location or by calling (800) 745-3000.

The team is set to open the season Oct. 1 when they play the Washington Capitals. It'll be the first time since 2005 that the team will play their season opener on home ice.

The Blackhawks are set to play 41 home games during the 2013-2014 season, including 24 on weekends. Beginning this season, Blackhawks evening games at the United Center will move to 7 p.m. start times. Select games may begin earlier or later due to national television broadcasts.

The upcoming schedule includes three separate four-game homestands.

Last year, the Blackhawks set an NHL record for best start to a season without a regulation loss. They went 21-0-3 before their first loss in the 25th game of the 48-game lockout-shortened regular season.
