Chicago Bears fans put out tailgate fire

September 8, 2013 (CHICAGO)

As the Weddingtons drove inbound on the Dan Ryan Expressway, they realized their decked out Bears tailgating camper was on fire.

They pulled over at 43rd Street and took action.

"I'm thinking boo hoo!" Lloyd Weddington said. "That was our favorite thing. That was our Bearsmobile."

"All of a sudden we started smelling smoke and it just blazed up. Think it was an electrical fire," said James Weddington.

They used duct tape to secure the camper and were back on the road and on the way to the game.

The brothers say they've had Bears season tickets since 1963.
