New Jersey school bus driver pleads guilty to DUI

Forty-eight-year-old Carole Crockett also pleaded guilty to child endangerment. Burlington County prosecutors said Monday the plea agreement calls for Crockett to receive a 3-year prison term when she's sentenced in January.

Prosecutors say the Shamong resident was working for a private transportation company when she was arrested in November 2011 while driving students home from Westampton Middle School.

Many students texted or called their parents to report that Crockett was driving erratically. Several parents then called school officials, who called police.

Authorities soon found Crockett at another school, where she had gone to pick up another group of students.
