They are demanding the union extend an apprenticeship program that currently employs 65 ex-offenders, which expires at the end of this year.
Union officials say that this program was set to expire at the end of 2013 and it was the CTA that didn't ask for it to be continued in the last contract negotiations.
However, a CTA spokesperson says it strongly supports the second chance program.
