Thirty-one-year old Peter Dunning reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and they dropped a battery complaint.
Police say Dunning wrestled with a store security worker before he was arrested.
According to police, Dunning has a long criminal record and he faces trial in Will County on charges that include identity theft.
