They say the company is a pyramid scheme that unfairly targets Hispanics. The company sells weight loss and nutritional products.
Illinois Latino leaders say most people who get involved with the company don't make any money and often lose their investments.
"By targeting vulnerable populations those who are put at risk by Herbalife's business model are those who have the most to lose," said Omar Duque, president & CEO, Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Madigan's office says they will review the situation. Herbalife says it's not a pyramid scheme and has provided an excellent income opportunity to people around the world.
