Students at Big Hollow Middle School in Ingleside held a cancer awareness dance to show their support for sixth grader Bonnie Vonder Haar.
While she couldn't attend, her classmates sent well wishes and urged their friend to stay strong.
"She's really tickled, she's pleased. And she's looking forward to seeing it on the news, I can tell you that. Yeah, she's really happy and I said she wishes she could be here," said David Vonder Haar, Bonnie's father.
Her father says Bonnie is responding well to treatment. He predicts the young hockey player will someday make the Olympic team.
