April 11, 2014 (CHICAGO) --Chicago health officials continued to search for signs of mercury after the heavy metal was discovered on Chicago's North Side. Crews wore safety gear Friday as they cleaned up the mercury.
About two pounds of mercury were found this week in alley near Hollywood and Kostner in the Sauganash neighborhood.
Officials say no people were exposed to the mercury.
It's unknown how the heavy metal ended up in the alley.
