A new study finds a significant number of Chicago grade school- aged children are already drinking alcohol. That's according to researchers from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

They surveyed 4,000 Chicago sixth graders. Seventeen percent of them admitted they had consumed alcohol in the past year.

Researchers say the findings suggest that prevention needs to start in the elementary grades.
