Loved ones remember slain Chicago woman

Friends and family members packed the Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church Saturday morning for Maggie Browder's funeral.

The 70-year-old woman was killed Monday when a bullet from a gun fired outside her home went through her window and struck her.

Family members and neighbors said Browder was an anchor in the community. They' struggled Saturday to deal with the void left by her death.

"Whoever did this, I wish they would turn themselves in and get this over with because my father is really hurt. My sister is hurt, and I'm hurt. So, i just want justice done," said Browder's stepson Hilton White .

Police are searching for the gunman in the case. Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
