Members of Walter Payton's family joined Secretary of State Jesse White and organ transplant recipients on Chicago's Near West Side Tuesday.
Payton's children Jarrett and Brittany helped create a series of TV and radio public service announcements which encourage people to become organ donors. The Paytons say this was a labor of love and remembrance.
Nearly 5,000 people in Illinois are currently waiting for organ transplants.
