CHICAGO --
A Metra police officer was injured after crashing into a Southeast Side church. The officer was going to assist Chicago police when he somehow lost control of his squad car at 88th and Commercial Friday around 2 a.m. The car ended up crashing into the stairs of Immaculate Conception BVM Church. The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The accident knocked out some pieces of the concrete stairs.
