The cause of the crash is unclear, but witnesses reported the SUV was weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed just before striking an electrical pole. The impact of the crash ripped out the axle, wheels and the underbelly of the vehicle.
At least two of the crash victims are under the age of 21. Two survivors have been hospitalized in critical condition.
