Mobile banking is catching on with younger bank customers. A new survey by a research firm found that 21 percent of consumers between the ages of 18 and 34 use their cell phones for banking transactions.

The group behind the survey predicts that the number of mobile banking users will grow from just under 2 million users in 2006 to 8 million users by the end of this year.
