Chicago volunteers clean up vacant lot

Being a better neighbor means going green in Chicago.More than 100 volunteers picked up litter and planted dozens of trees on the city's South Side on Saturday.

The Chicago Gateway Green led the effort to enhance a vacant lot in the Englewood community as part of an Earth Week neighborhood beautification project. The lot is near the Saint Bernard's Hospital.

Chicago Gateway Green was founded in 19-86 to improve the environment and quality of life for Chicagoans.
