It happened early Saturday morning in Vernon Hills. Judge David Hall was reportedly on his way home from a charity event when he was pulled over by police. He turned over his license and registration.
Hall's attorney says, when he asked one officer if he was being arrested, another officer pepper sprayed him. Police say they can't comment on that because it's an ongoing investigation.
Hall was then arrested and released on bond but had to be treated at a hospital. He is expected in court on May 21.
