Jazz performer Franz Jackson dies

A legendary Chicago jazz talent whose performances date back to the 1920s has died.Saxophonist Franz Jackson, who collaborated with such jazz giants as Louis Armstrong and Cab Calloway, died of natural causes Tuesday at a nursing home in Niles, Michigan.

Jackson continued to perform well into his mid-90s and also played clarinet and performed as a vocalist.

Franz Jackson was 95 years old.
