Metabolic syndrome is something we've been hearing a lot about. It's a group of related disorders, such as obesity, high cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose levels, that can lead to a higher risk of heart disease and diabetes.
This new blood test found people with high levels of a type of damaged cholesterol were at greatest risk.
Experts say identifying metabolic syndrome as soon as possible could lead to preventing further damage.
