Study: Healthy habits could delay diabetes

A new study showed adults with pre-diabetes who adopted a healthy diet and exercised for six years were much less likely to progress to full-blown diabetes over the next 14 years.

That was unlike their pre-diabetic counterparts who made no healthy lifestyle changes.

Researchers say the study in the Lancet Medical Journal shows that making lifestyle changes produces a durable and long lasting reduction in Type 2 diabetes.
