Hormone therapy in menopausal women may raise the risk of heart disease for some but not in others.

A new study at Thomas Jefferson University found that a simple blood test to determine cholesterol levels could predict a woman's heart risk while taking hormones

Hormone therapy for post menopausal women was once routinely recommended, but the treatment came under fire in 2002 when a government study found hormones increased the risk of heart attacks ,strokes, blood clots, and breast cancer.
