Floods threaten Fox River residents

People living along the Fox River are concerned that all the rain from the recent storms could make flooding problems worse. Officials say the river in Antioch has already crested above flood stage.

There are fears more rain could send river levels above the record levels set last August.

Many residents have dealt with flooding three times in the past nine months.

Hundreds of volunteers were out filling and then sandbags on Thursday in the hopes of protecting their property.

There are also growing concerns along the Des Plaines River where flood warnings are posted.
